Problem A Day

  1. 3 pizzas and 4 chicken wings cost $31.60. 5 pizzas and 6 chicken wings cost $51.20. How much do three pizzas and three chicken wings cost?
  2. 0.45 of the balloons at a party are yellow. 9/11 of the remaining balloons are blue and the rest are red. If there are 49 blue balloons than red balloons, how many balloons are there at a party together?
  3. Mrs Yu needed 8.7l of green emulsion paint and 7.65l of pin emulsion paint for each of the 10 rooms in her school. How many litres or green and pink emulsion paint did she need altogether?
  4. 3 T-shirts and 2 blouses cost $261. Each blouse cost thrice as much as a T-shirt. Find the cost of each blouse.
